Published by The Miner on July 30, 2024 - Kingman, Arizona - Kara L. Henderschedt (Fass), 33, of Ennis, Texas, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. Kara was born on March 29, 1991, in Kingman, Arizona. She graduated from Kingman High School in 2009 and a year later moved to Texas to be close to her mom. Once in Texas, Kara enrolled in Everest College and graduated as a Certified Medical Assistant in September 2011. Growing up Kara loved and excelled in gymnastics. At 3 years old she begged her mom to sign her up for gymnastics after watching the gymnasts perform at a local event. Kara was always shy, but gym helped to bring her out of her shell. She left gymnastics after having major surgery for Crohn’s Disease when she was 10 years old. She still wanted to dance and do back handsprings, so she decided cheerleading would be the next best thing, while being a little easier on her body. She started out cheering for Pop Warner football and continued cheering for six more years through Junior High and High School. Kara also had a passion for helping people. She realized during her three-week hospital stay when she was young that she wanted to go into the medical field after high school. After she graduated as a CMA, she worked in a couple different medical fields with her favorite being pediatrics. She loved working with and taking care of babies and young children. Kara is survived by her loving husband, Mike Henderschedt; stepson Seth (Katelynne) Henderschedt; grandchildren Zaylynne and Zane Henderschedt; mother and stepfather Kim and Tom Carper; brother Preston Carper; grandparents John and Annette Potter and Vernon Fass; father-in-law Paul Henderschedt; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Fass, her grandmother, Grace Fass and mother-in-law, Debbie Henderschedt. A Celebration of Life will be held in Kingman, Arizona at the Hualapai Mountain Event Center on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 2 p.m. Kara’s favorite color was lime green, so the family asks that everyone wear lime green or green to the celebration. Out of respect for the family this will be an alcohol-free event. Arrangements are being cared for by Lone Star Cremation Mansfield, Texas. |
