Published by Today's News Herald on Aug. 25, 2024 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - David Elmer Weise, 81, died Thursday Aug. 15 in his home with his family by his side. He was survived by his children Brian (Sue) Weise, Tom (Laura) Weise, Derek (Maggie) Weise and Tiffany (Jeff) Cich, sisters Janet, Cindy, Mona, brothers Dennis, Johnny, Dale, companion Gayleen Sharp, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Brenda (Luft), sisters Diane, Rita and Mary. Dave was born Nov. 11, 1942 in Iowa, he moved to Two Harbors MN where he graduated and joined the Marine Corp. Dave was very proud to be a Marine Corp veteran. Dave married his wife Brenda in May of 1965 and they were married for 51 years until her death in 2016. They were blessed with four children. Dave worked in plastic injection molding his entire career, eventually completing his MBA and working in a leadership capacity. Dave was an avid golfer, fisherman and pool player. He loved spending his time on the water, whether at his lake home in Wisconsin or his home in Lake Havasu City. He will be remembered as a respected man, a good dancer and someone who called his friends and family just to check in and say hi. He will be missed. |
