Cortlen Ray Hauge

Born in Randolph, Minnesota on Jan. 25, 1920.
Departed on Oct. 21, 2002 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Cortlen 'Cort' Hauge, 82, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away October 21, 2002 at his home in Cottonwood.

He is survvied by his wife of 65 years, Phyllis; his children and their spouses, Keith and Nancy Hauge, Cortlen Hauge, Jr. and Marilyn all of Palos Verdes, Calif., Steven Hauge of St. Cloud, Minn., Mary and John Moschal, Cottonwood, Robin and Cari Hauge, Maple Grove, Minn,; Colin and Bushka Hauge, San Pedro, Calif.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He spent most of his adult life in the furniture business in Iowa and Minnesota. He served in the Navy in World War II aboard the USS Constellation. After the service, he opened his own furniture store (Home Furniture) in Winona, Minnesota where he was in business thrity years. After moving to Estes Park, Colorado he acquired a clothing store which he operated until his retirement to Sedona and then to Clarkdale and Cottonwood.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sporting events and also motoring about the country. He was a lifetime member of Winona Elks Lodge #327, the Winona American Legion Post #9, and the Winona Knights of Columbus Council #639. He also belonged to the Verde Valley Loyal Order of Moose #1449. He attended St. Cecilia's Mission Church in Clarkdale.

Visitation and rosary will on Thursday, October 24 in the Westcott Funeral Home at 5 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday October 25 in St. Cecilia's Mission Church at 10 a.m.

Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Flagstaff.
