Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Michael Wayne Wolf, 79, of Lake Havasu City, passed away Sept. 28, 2024, at his home, with his family by his side, after a long battle with prostate cancer. Born on April 13, 1945, Michael dedicated his life to his family, community, and country. Michael served honorably in the Marine Corps from 1962 to 1966, a period during which he embraced the core values of honor, courage, and commitment. After his military service, he pursued an education at Moorpark College, earning an Associate of Arts degree. For 59 years, Michael has been a loving husband to Rita Wolf, a father to Timothy and Thomas Wolf (Memri), and a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather to nine. Michael's legacy is marked by his profound dedication to his family and community. His life was a living example of kindness and service, as evidenced by his involvement with several volunteer organizations including the Marine Corps League Detachment #757, the Lake Havasu City Police Department, Lake Havasu Lighthouse Association, Lake Havasu Marine Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, and The Boy Scouts of America. Michael also was a passionate photographer and an avid boater, often seen capturing the beauty of Lake Havasu or navigating its waters. His love for animals and nature was profound, influencing his choice to support the Western Arizona Humane Society. A service to honor Michael's life will be held at the Lake Havasu Yacht Club on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, at 2 p.m., located at 631 London Bridge Road, Lake Havasu City, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Western Arizona Humane Society. |
