He passed away suddenly on August 15, 2024. Upon graduating from high school he enlisted in the Navy and was a Fire Control Technician on the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk. He served for six years. He was a Life Member of the VFW. While in the Navy, he returned home to marry the love of his life, Pauline Turcotte, on July 13, 1968. After his discharge from the Navy, they returned to Woonsocket where Hank started work in the retail business which brought them to several states. They eventually settled in San Diego, CA where Hank left the retail business and worked as an auto loan officer at the North Island Credit Union until he retired in 2007. Upon retirement they moved to Lake Havasu City where Hank became involved in the Elks Lodge. He started working his way "up the chairs" and became the Exalted Ruler for the year 2012-2013. He volunteered on many committees and was the emcee at many Lodge events. He progressed to the state level becoming the Arizona West District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler in 2019 after which he became the West District Leader. He served as West District Public Relations Chair and was the Treasurer for Arizona Elks Major Projects. With all his responsibilities to AEA, he still continued to volunteer many hours at the Lodge. Although his life was cut short, Hank had a full and rewarding life. He and Pauline enjoyed traveling, off roading, motorcycling, boating, RVing and socializing with friends and family. They worked at Mount Rushmore for 5 summers and loved every minute of it. He is gone, but the memories will last forever. Hank is survived by his wife Pauline and son Brian in Lake Havasu City, granddaughter Khaya and her husband Riku in San Diego, sister Joelle Gordon and her husband Paul, in-laws Paulette Nainteau, Jackie Turcotte and Kenneth Moore, Lake Havasu City, and Henry and Inga Turcotte, Burrillville, RI and several nieces and nephews.
