Born in Le Roy, Kansas on Oct. 29, 1929.
Departed on April 16, 2006 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Douglass E. Smith was reunited with his maker April 16, 2006 Easter Sunday morning at the age of 76. He was born in 1929 in Le Roy, Kansas.

During his time on earth he resided in Winslow, Flagstaff, Page, and Buckeye, Arizona, then upon retirement in Cottonwood Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his wife Janet Marie Smith of 49 years, mother Leona Ione Hensley, and father Clarence E. Smith.

He is survived by their daughters, Katherine I. Wagnon, Page, Ariz. and Michele Sanetra, Peoria, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and six great-grand children; sister in-law, Mary Rumble-Miller; Brother in-law, Clyde and his wife Gwen Bush.

While on this earth he enjoyed family, flying, hunting, fishing & square dancing. He was a member of the Mason’s, Easter Star, and the Shiners.

Masonic Services were held at the Desert View Cemetery April 22, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.
