Born in Arkdale, Wisconsin on Dec. 27, 1919
Departed on Aug. 28, 2006 and resided in Cottonwood, AZ.

Marion Pearl Smith, 86, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away Monday, August 28, 2006. She was born in Arkdale, Wisconsin on December 27, 1919 to Carl John and Hannah Otilda (Rosgaard) Holm.

During her lifetime, Marion held a variety of jobs, and fulfilled various positions - some of which included working at a munitions plant, hotels, canning companies, a bakery, in the shipping department of Heil Company where they built dump trucks, and as a maid. Once she married and became a mother, Marion was fortunate enough to be able to stay home and raise her children. Homemaker and housewife were the roles she cherished.

Marion was a tough, strong woman – a hero to her children.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Smith; her son, Orlando Paul Storman; and her parents.

Marion leaves behind her daughter, Nancy James, husband Curtis, Cottonwood, Ariz.; step-son, Roy Smith, wife Nancy, Prescott Valley, Ariz.; brother, Oscar Holm, Dellwood, Wisc.; sister, Helen Holm and her only grandchild, James Lytle.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., in Cottonwood, Arizona. Funeral Services will follow Thursday morning, August 31, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church, 2021 E. Fir St., in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Immediately following, Marion will be laid to rest at the Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale, Arizona.
