Published by Today's News Herald from Nov. 14 to Nov. 15, 2024 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - We announce the passing of Lawrence Knapp, on Oct. 22, 2024 at 78 years old, with heavy hearts. Born July 15, 1946, he spent his early years in Harper Woods, Detroit, Michigan. Lawrence and Sharon retired to Lake Havasu City in 2018. Lawrence graduated from Harper Woods High School in Detroit and began his career with Chrysler Corporation for 17 years. Lawrence honorably served his country from 1966-1971 as an Amy Sergeant E5 during the Vietnam War, as a communications specialist. Lawrence enjoyed many hobbies and sports including, baseball, golf, boating, swimming, and bowling. He was an automobile enthusiast and treasured all things related to his 1923 Ford T-Bucket. Lawrence is survived by his beloved wife Sharon of 26 years and his children Carmen Wozniek, Brent Knapp and Katherine Gutowsky. His brother Tom Knapp and sister Kim St. Onge. Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents Leo and Muriel Knapp, his brother Don Knapp and son Curtis Lemanski.
