Published by Today's News Herald on Dec. 8, 2024 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Orline was born and raised in Pipestone, Minnesota. She married Donald (Don) Meger, in 1951. They raised two children, Bradley and Lynn. The Meger Family moved to Lake Havasu City in 1968. Don became ill, and passed away in 1977. Orline worked at Valley National Bank as a Mortgage Loan Officer for 16 years. She retired in 1984. In 1978, Orline married William (Bill) McFadden. They loved to dance. They square danced at festivals in many states. They also Ball Room Danced, and taught both to the youth. Orline stayed active at Mount Olive Lutheran Church. She was a life member of Soroptomist, and a member of P.E.O. She also enjoyed playing bridge, and golfing. Orline and Bill's passion was to travel. They travelled to many parts of the world, U.S., Australia, Fiji, Hawaii, Jamaica, Panama Canal, Mexico and Alaska. They also enjoyed their private plane. For pleasure, they would often take a quick flight to Las Vegas for a dinner show. They flew their plane to Minnesota and Washington State to visit family. Orline became very fond of co-piloting. They purchased a 20 acre farm in Washington State. Every summer they drove their RV to Washington with their horses in tow. They spent the summers on their farm, to avoid the Arizona heat. Since Orline and Bill were both raised on a farm, they were like two kids reliving their childhood days. Orline's daughter Lynn, lived 1 hour from their farm. They were very fortunate to spend so many summers together. Orline passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded with Lynn's love. Orline is survived and will be greatly missed by her loving daughter Lynn Juneau, of Woodinville, WA; her grandchildren, Tara, Kyl, Klay, and Katy; her great grandchildren, Bradley and Stevie. Orline is proceeded in death by her husband, William (Bill) McFadden, son Bradley Meger; daughter-in-law, Leslie Sullivan-Meger; son-in-law, Gregory Juneau; her parents, Will and Anna Stueven; brothers Arnold, Ervin, and Herbert, and her sister's Lucille Bauman, and Esther Veldhuizen. |
