Harold (Harry) Kenneth Halter (1936-2024)


Harry was born July 1, 1936, in Sunburst, MT, to Lester and Grace
Halter, the 2nd of 5 children. He is survived by sisters Margaret
Stewart and Barbara Miles. He was preceded in death by his son Steven,
brother Gerald and sister Dorothy Christianson.

After graduating from Central Catholic High School in Great Falls, MT,
Harry married his high school sweetheart, Joyce, in August 1955. He
successfully completed a 35-year career with the Army and Air Force
Exchange Service. His career took he and his family to many interesting
locations including Goose Bay Canada, and Germany. After retiring in
1991, he and Joyce chose Lake Havasu as their retirement home. Harry
enjoyed an active life and was an avid golfer and bowler. Harry and
Joyce also enjoyed traveling and visiting with family. He was an active
member of Elks Lodge 2399, serving as a Trustee and also a member of the
Moose Lodge.

Harry is survived by his wife Joyce, daughter Leslie White, sons Mike
(Alicia), Don (Paulette) and David (Debbie). He also leaves behind 10
grandchildren and 9 great-grand children.

A private service for family will be held in the near future.
