Zachary Michael Phelps, a kind-hearted, charismatic, and loving son,
grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, tragically passed away in a car
accident on January 2, 2025, at the age of 27.

Zach was born on August 20, 1997, in Blythe, California, to Stevie and
Amy Phelps. He grew up in Blythe and Ehrenberg, California, where he
graduated from Palo Verde High School. On the same day, he received his
Welding Technology Certificate from Palo Verde College in Blythe.
At the time of his passing, Zach lived in Ehrenberg, Arizona, in the
home he proudly purchased himself.

Zach was employed by the Palo Verde Irrigation District as a night
supervisor, becoming the youngest employee ever to be promoted to a
supervisor in 2024. He was also a skilled welder and created many
beautiful pieces that are displayed proudly by his family and friends.
Zach had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying trips to the river,
fishing, and spending time in the desert with his loved ones and his
pup, Bella. He loved traveling, especially road trips, and
found peace while cruising the highway with his favorite music playing.

Zach was known for his ability to make friends wherever he went, and he
had a network of friends that extended well beyond his hometown. His
big, warm, and welcoming smile had the power to make others feel special
and loved. His hugs were tight, intentional, and filled with
meaning-making anyone in his embrace feel important and cared for. Zach
had an infectious sense of humor and an uncanny ability to lift others'
spirits, often turning tough moments into times of laughter.

Zach was preceded in death by his mother Amy Phelps.

Zach is survived by his father Stevie Phelps of Ehrenberg, his maternal
grandparents Larry and Diane Angle of Lake Havasu, his fraternal
grandparents Steve and Karla Phelps of Blythe, California, and Valerie
Copple and John Weiss of Blythe, California, maternal great-grandmother
Lonna Nelson of Medford, Oregon, fraternal great-grandparents Gary and
Ruth Angle of Kingman, fraternal great-grandmother Betty Copple of
Blythe, California, aunt and uncle Tawnya and Jeff Mosley of Wrightwood,
California, aunt Lindi Phelps of Crescent City, California, his
beloved puppy Bella and many more family, friends and coworkers.

A memorial service to celebrate Zach's life will be held Friday, January
17, at 11am, at the Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service
will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens at 1:30 pm.
