Published by Today's News Herald on Jan. 19, 2025 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - David L. Williams went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2025. David was born on December 5, 1943 in Painesville, Ohio. He enlisted in the U.S. Air force In February 1961, and Proudly served his country as an air/ ground radio operator until being honorably discharged in February 1965. He Served throughout the far east and southeast Asia including duty in Japan, Okinawa, Korea, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Upon military discharge, he was hired by the FFA as an air traffic controller. His assignments were in Los Angeles, San Juan Puerto Rico, and the Seattle Air Traffic Control Centers; with a 2 year assignment as an instructor at the aeronautical academy in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. David moved to Lake Havasu City in 1982 after retiring from the FFA. He was instrumental in fundraising, and the building of the new Christian radio station KNLB. He became the Stations first station manager and program director. He severed the community in this capacity for 1 1/2 years. David held real estate licenses in Oklahoma, Colorado, Arizona, and California. He was then employed by MCO properties (Lake Havasu developer) as a land sales agents. He enjoyed boating, fishing, bowling, and golf. David survived by his three children David Williams Jacqueline Fox Angela Bufkin Grandfather of 7 Great Grand Father of 3 David has One Surviving Sister, and one surviving brother Loretta (Gidget) Gray Robert Williams |
