| Kay was born on February 20, 1945, to William Edward "Bill" and Helen Smiley Berssenbruegge (both deceased) in Ohio. She had three sisters: Lois Berssenbruegge Granger, Janis Carol Berssenbruegge (deceased) and Susan Jo Berssenbruegge Garcia. The family moved to Tempe, Arizona, in 1961. She graduated from Tempe Union High School and Arizona State University. She and her husband, Larry Price (deceased), had two daughters: Candy Kay Price Oen and Kristi Marie Price Newman. |
