Dorothy Jean Brown Born in North Hollywood, California on Jan. 28, 1932. Departed on July 6, 2005 and resided in Rimrock, Arizona. Dorothy 'Jean' Brown, 73, of Rimrock, died July 6. She was born January 28, 1932 in North Hollywood, California. She was a graduate of Prescott High School. Mrs. Brown was a foster mother to twenty-five newborn babies. She took communion to nursing home for 10 years. A member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Camp Verde, she was also a member of the Ladies Guild and founder of the Sacred Heart Emergency Assistance Program. Mrs. Brown loved all types of crafts, made beautiful gift cards, sewing, traveling, camping and was an avid reader. She leaves her husband of fifty four years, Douglas Brown; two sons, Frank Brown, Camp Verde, Ariz. and Timothy Brown, Surpise, Ariz.; two daughters, Cathryn Beck, Tempe, Ariz. and Lisa Corbell of Chino Valley, Ariz.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial Rosary will be held on Friday, July 8 in St. Frances Cabrini Church at 7 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 9 in St. Frances Cabrini Church at 12 noon. Inurnment will be held the Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott. Donations in her memory may be made to the Catholic Social Services Adoptions Program, 736 N. Main St., Cottonwood, Ariz., 86326.
