Judith Ann (Ely) Vaughn

Judith Ann Vaughn, 82, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on
February 8, 2025, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Born on December 19, 1942, in Waterbury, Connecticut. She was raised in
Whitehall, New York and graduated from Whitehall High School, class of
1960. Her love for science led her to the College of Saint Rose in
Albany, New York, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology and
later achieved a Master's degree in Nursing, pursuing her career and
lifelong passion for the well-being of others and education.

Judith had a deep appreciation for nature and photography, often
capturing the beauty of the world through her lens. Her interests
extended to the Navajo Tribe and Shamanism, reflecting a profound
respect for cultural traditions and spiritual exploration. A devout
Roman Catholic, Judith found solace and strength in her faith throughout
her life. She dedicated herself to sharing the gifts Our Lord blessed
her with including, volunteering at Our Lady of the Lake, nurturing and
enhancing the beauty of the rose garden, as well as being a Home-bound
Minister, Lector and Eucharistic Minister. For several years Judith
stayed part time with the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament at St.
Michael's Retreat House in St. Michaels, AZ. While with the Sisters she
shared many of her gifts of life.

Judith is survived by her sister, Elaine Guitar (William), half-brother,
Tracy Ely (Mary Beth), niece, Lynn Jeremiah, niece. Taylor Ely (Krista),
niece, Makenna Ely and great-niece, Natalee Jeremiah. She was
predeceased by her parents, Charles Ely and Esther Bottigleri Ely.

A Funeral Mass will be held on March 15, 2025, at Our Lady of the Lake
Roman Catholic Church, located at 1975 Daytona Ave, Lake Havasu City,
Arizona, 86403. The service will begin at 11:30 AM. We ask that you wear
some sort of the color blue in her honor.

Donations can be made in her memory to Our Lady of the Lake Roman
Catholic Parish Preschool for tuition of single parent students. May
Judith's memory bring comfort to those who loved and knew her.
