Julia Mitchell Laid to Rest William Field soldiers served as pall bearers at the funeral of Mrs. Julia Marie Mitchell who died Monday of last week at a local hospital. Mrs. Mitchell’s health broke some time ago but she was up and about until about the first of this year. She then was confined for three months at her home, 1901 East Adams before entering the hospital where she died. With her mother and aunt, Mrs. Mitchell came to Phoenix 28 years ago from Independence, Missouri. After coming to Phoenix she was employed as nurse in the office of Dr. Chas. Bradberry for eight years and was considered very efficient. Funeral services were held last Friday at A. L. Moore and Sons Memory Chapel. Rev. Felton King officiated. Solo by Mrs. F. Henderson; organist Mrs. Naomi Shawers. Survivers are: mother, Mrs. Inez Davis; son, Sgt. Robert Walters, soldier at Williams Field; aunt, Genolar Jones; three grandchildren, all of Phoenix and a host of friends. Arizona Sun June 10, 1949 |
