| Funeral services for George Arline, 73, who died September 20 in local hospital, were held last Thursday at Ragsdale Chapel in the Valley with the Rev. George Brooks officiating. Interment was in Glendale Cemetery. Mr. Arline, born in Kountze, Texas, worked in the sawmills in McMary, Arizona where he moved in 1924 from Texas. After he was retired in 1946, he moved to Phoenix. He resided at 1203 South 9th Avenue. Survivors include one brother, Charlie Arline, Houston, Texas; four sisters, Ethel Hunt, Alice Harris, Ida McDade all of Beaumant, Texas, and Mattie Frazier, Kountze; and three cousins, Ed J. Hodge, Lillie Collier and Gertrude Smith, all of Phoenix. Arizona Sun October 4, 1956 |
