Published by Mohave Daily News Online from May 7 to May 14, 2025 - Bullhead City, Arizona - Carolyn Prather, age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2025, in Lakeside, Arizona. Born in 1943, Carolyn was deeply rooted in the traditions and values of her faith. Her vibrant spirit was a lively blend of humor, warmth, and generosity that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Those who knew her found Carolyn to be a beacon of kindness and steadfast friendship. Carolyn dedicated herself to service and fellowship through active involvement in several fraternal organizations. A lifelong member and past matron of The Order of the Eastern Star, she found joy and purpose within its community. Her commitment extended to memberships in Amaranth and Daughters of the Nile, where she continued to embody the principles of charity, friendship, and compassion. Family remained at the center of Carolyn's heart. She is lovingly remembered by her life partner, John McKeeman; sisters Patricia McKnight and Mary Lou Rose; brother, Charles Barkley; daughter, Valerie Woodson; and son Stephen, Keebler. She also held dear the memories of those who preceded her: her parents; brother John Gilberg; husband, Clarence Prather; and sons Earl Prather and Richard Keebler. A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held at Valerie's home on Monday, October 20, 2025-to mark Carolyn's 82nd birthday. Family and friends are invited to honor a life so beautifully lived. Carolyn's joyful legacy endures through countless acts of kindness and laughter shared with those fortunate enough to know her. May her memory continue to inspire warmth and compassion in all whose lives she touched.
