| Tope, Josephine F. Josephine F. Tope, 95, of Sun City West, died August 29, 2004. She was born in Nevada, Iowa, June 29, 1909, to Edgar and Naomi Fawcett. Jo was a graduate of Northwestern University. In 1937 she married Dr. Donald E. Tope. In 1944 they moved to Phoenix when Don became superintendent of the Phoenix Elementary Schools, remaining until 1951, when they moved to Oregon. Upon retirement in 1970 they moved to Sun City. She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, The P.E.O. Sisterhood, Gamma Phi Beta, and a charter member of the Phoenix Symphony Guild. Survivors include Ann (Dale) Collings of Sun City West, Suzanne (William) Ammerman of River Falls, Wisconsin, James (Julie) Letsinger of Palm Desert, California and John (Marjean) Fawcett of Ames, Iowa. Funeral services are pending in Nevada, Iowa. Published in The Arizona Republic on 10/6/2004. |
