| The Miner published May 14, 2025 - Kingman, Arizona - Elna Nettie Donson, 78, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025, in Seligman, Arizona, surrounded by her family. Born on March 12, 1947, in Artesia, California, to Deloris Dove Yell and Victor Ernest Bartmus. Elna was called to be a musician and song writer from a young age. Elna was known for her love of playing piano, writing and performing her own music, and her unwavering dedication to ministry. She found purpose in guiding and counseling others through their spirituality, creating “Word of Life” Christian school and ministry in Kingman, Arizona, and helping take care of the many children in her family. She is survived by her grandsons, AJ, Nick, Nate, and Noah (Victoria); and her beloved great grandchildren, Zane (Jordan) and Nolan (Noah). She was preceded in death by her parents and daughters, Victoria Jean Valenzuela and Etta Raylene Byrne, and her grandson, Jordan Parker (Etta). Elna’s kindness and sincerity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family is grateful for the love and support during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society. |
