The Miner published April 30, 2025 - Kingman, Arizona - May 22, 1939 - April 26, 2025 Deanna “Dee” Lindsay passed on April 26, 2025, in Kingman, Arizona at the age of 85. Dee is survived by her children Marian “Rene” Guenther, Michael Guenther, and Michelle “Shelly” Guenther; her grandchildren, DeShae (Jacob) Fangmeyer, Ty (Tanika) Harper, and Christopher (Angelina) Bartmus; her great grandchildren, Luke, Finn, AmberLynn, Tristen, Jennyfer, Kira, Daimen, Liam, James, and Maximus; siblings, Delores Skoog, DeEtte (Bruce) Price, Gary (Cheryl) Slavik, and Glenn (Diana) Slavik; and many nieces and nephews. She is presided in death by her parents; Maynard and Gertrude Slavik; stepfather Jack Stanton; brother in-law Les Skoog; granddaughter Rochelle Pedi; her former spouse James Guenther; and late husband Donald Lindsay. Dee was born on May 22, 1939, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Maynard and Gertrude Slavik. She graduated from North St. Paul High School in 1957. She married James Guenther in 1961, and together they had their three children. With Jim being in the Marine Corps the family moved throughout the years, before settling in Kingman, Arizona in the 70s. Dee often volunteered a lot of her time with the community and events for her children, grandchildren, and others. Her volunteer work included Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, twenty years with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, and as a bowling coach for fifty-five years. Dee was often found helping youth and families at Cerbat Lanes, which was almost a second home to her. Dee was an active and dedicated member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Rosary services are scheduled at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for Friday, May 2 at 12:30 p.m., mass to follow at 1 p.m. A reception will be held at the St. Mary’s Parish Hall following mass, all are welcome to attend and celebrate Dee’s life. The family would like to thank Kingman Regional Medical Center for their care and dedication to Dee. |
