Betty Yarbrough, beloved mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of
the Lord, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, in Kingman, Arizona,
at the age of 94.

Betty was born on Aug. 24, 1930, in Clay Springs, Arizona. She was the
beloved daughter of Jesse Oliver Davis and Melissa Alice Perkins. Betty
had nine siblings—Johnny, Alice, Kenneth, Bessie (Bowler), Ruby (Spear),
Russell, Charles, Richard, and Jeanette (Malone).

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Melissa; her
husband, Jim; her siblings, Johnny, Alice, Kenneth, Bessie, Ruby,
Russell, and Charles; her son, Ben; and her grandson, Levi.

She was raised in Clay Springs and remained a lifelong resident of
Arizona, spending the past 73 years living in and around Mohave County.
The majority of her life was spent on ranches across Arizona and Nevada,
where she embraced the ranching lifestyle with resilience and grit.

Betty married the love of her life, Jim Yarbrough, in 1947 when she was
just 17 years old. After a honeymoon at the TeePee Hotel, they began a
journey that would span decades, raising seven children—Dallie, Rita
(Darlington), Ben, Sam, Charles, Marvin, and Toni (Roth). Their life on
the ranch often meant moving from place to place, homeschooling their
children when no school was nearby. Wherever they were, Betty made it
home.

She often said, “Marriage and family ain’t for sissies!” and she lived
that truth with strength, grace, and humor. Even after their children
had grown, the Yarbrough home remained a hub—offering babysitting,
medical advice, hot meals, and a steady stream of heartfelt wisdom to
children, grandchildren, and anyone who needed a listening ear.

From their union came a remarkable posterity— 23 grandchildren, 33
great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

A devoted disciple of Jesus Christ, Betty’s life was marked by faith,
kindness, and quiet strength. She was a lifelong and faithful member of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and spent her life in
service to others and in devotion to her Savior. Her testimony was
evident in the way she loved her family, treated others, and lived each
day with grace and devotion.

Memorial services for Betty will be held on Saturday, May 31, at 11a.m.,
with a viewing at 10 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, located at 5150 AZ-260, between Pinedale and Clay Springs,
Arizona.
