| LaVerne O. Sveum, age 71, entered into rest on September 10, 2003. LaVerne is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Judy Sveum, his two daughters, Debbie Mauldin and Diana Sorrell, his grandchildren, Geoffrey Mauldin, Shawna Sorrell, and Jeremy Sorrell. Also survived by his two brothers, Laurel Sveum and Loran Sveum. LaVerne proudly served his country with the U.S. Air Force. He was a salesman in the grocery business all his life, be retired from Kraft Foods after over 15 years of service. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Visitation was held on Sat., September 13, 2003 at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave., Glendale, with a funeral service following. Interment followed at Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale, AZ. Published in the Arizona Republic on 9/12/2003. |
