| Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Whitfield Mrs. Ermagene Whitefield, 48, was laid to rest Wednesday in Greenwood Memorial Park. Services were held at First Institutional Baptist Church with Rev. L. B. Nelson officiating. She died last Sunday morning at a local hospital. Mrs. Whitfield was born in the state of Texas, came to Phoenix from Oklahoma in 1949. She was a member of the First Institutional Baptist Church and of the Hester Chapter No. 6, Order of the Eastern Stars of Phoenix. Surviving are three children, Ruby McCray of Buckeye, John Moreland and Ruth Moreland, both of Phoenix; a sister, Augusta Watson of Los Angeles; two brothers, Samuel Robinson, Kansas City, Missouri, and Wilbert McAdams of Detroit, Michigan and three grand children. Interment was in GreenwoodMemorial Park with Ragsdale Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Arizona Sun April 23, 1954 |
