We celebrate and honor the life of Pastor Ted Matyja.

But the journey doesn't end here.

Theodore Clinton Matyja left this life peacefully, entering eternity
with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. With his loving wife and
children by his side, Ted passed on September 3rd, 2024, at 77 years of
age, at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Born to Theodore A. Matyja and Geraldine D. Matyja, Ted was preceded in
death by his parents and sister, Barbara Matyja Baji.

Ted Matyja is survived by his loving wife of 49 years. Ted & Susie
married on October 25th, 1975. There are no goodbyes for us; you will
always be in my heart. I will always love you.

Ted is survived by his beloved six children: Caleb Matyja & Jessica
(Lake Havasu City, AZ), Shelly McFarland & Donny (Downey, CA), Shawn
Samson & Scott (Omaha, NE), Laurie Halverson (Omaha, NE), Michael
Jankowski & Wendy (Garden Grove, CA), Nick Jankowski & Amie (Omaha, NE).
20 Loving Grandchildren: Dylan, Isabelle, Gavin, Alex, Andrew, Audrey,
Alexxa, Abigail, Gabriel, Cheyanne, Jory, Chanse, Michael, Talia,
Shaylee, Serenity, Creedance, Ashley, Marisa, Mathew. 18 Great-
grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Ted honorably served in the United States Army.

Ted was ordained through Anchor Bay Evangelistic Assoc. in 1981.

Pastor Ted and Susie founded A More Excellent Way Ministries and served
as Associate Pastors at Living Word Family Church. Pastor Ted was
passionate about sharing Jesus's love and salvation message with
everyone he encountered.

Ted, owner of Superior Southwest Const. & Roofing, worked until his
passing.

He was a general contractor for 56 years and referred to as "The Wood
Surgeon."

Ted inspired all who knew him and was loved and admired by many. His
legacy lives on as a sincere man of God driven by his purpose and faith
in Jesus and the Word of God.

The impact of his life left imprints on the hearts of his wife,
children, family, and friends that will be felt eternally. The love and
memory of Ted Matyja will never pass; he left us too soon.

He fought a good fight and finished his course. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
