Published by Today's News Herald on June 15, 2025 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Jacquelyn “Jackie” Fritchey (87) of Lake Havasu City, AZ went to sleep in the Lord on May 9,2025 at home while in the care of River Valley Hospice and surrounded by family. Jackie was born in Ventura County, CA ; the daughter of William Justin Blair and Mary Helene Wigton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepdad Carroll Poston, husband Jack Fritchey, late husband David Williams, son David Williams Jr., sister Carolyn Villemes, son in law Jimmy Hoggard and granddaughter Amber Newton. Upon graduating Jackie married David Williams and raised 4 children Debbie, David Jr, Darlene, and Danny. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, auntie and friend to many. She loved dancing, camping, square dancing and spending time with friends. She worked part time at Honor Farm, a correctional facility and later Ventura County Sheriff’s Department as a medical clerk. Upon retiring, Jackie moved to Lake Havasu City to be closer to her sisters Carolyn and Willie. She soon joined the Welcome Woman’s Club of AZ along with her sisters, the gem and mineral club with Jack and Art Guild, soon finding her life in Lake Havasu, busy, and thoroughly enjoying it here. Jackie is survived by her daughters Debbie Hoggard, Darlene Jansen, Son, Danny Williams, stepsons Neal Fritchey and Joseph Fritchey, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Jackie loved all whom she met, she will be greatly missed, not only by her family, but all who encountered her. She had such a kind, loving, giving heart. And she loved animals. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to River Valley and Home Health to all those who help with Jackie’s care. A service is being held June 20 at 2:00PM at Lietz- Fraze Funeral Home and continues at the home of Jackie. Service were entrusted to the care of Lietz -Fraze Funeral Home |
