Published in Today's News Herald on June 18, 2025 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Donald Joseph Gray was born in Paterson, New Jersey, on July 27th, 1949. Not long after, Louisville, Kentucky became his childhood home until 1965 when the family moved again, to Garden Grove in Southern California. Don graduated from Garden Grove High School in 1967 and briefly attended Orange Coast College before enlisting and serving in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1969. Don worked mainly in the construction industry while living a short while in Las Vegas and also was a long-time resident of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Later he became a Mason and a Shriner and enjoyed being involved with the Shriner Motorcycle Drill Teams. Don was preceded in death by parents Roland and Dorothy (Greenlaw) Gray and older brother James Allin Gray. He is survived by younger sister Catherine R. Gray of Longmont, Colorado and ex-wife Catherine L. Gray of Las Vegas, Nevada. Private Ceremony will be held at Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at Camp Navajo followed by Celebration of life.
