It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of a beloved
husband, brother, and friend, Frank Andrew Emery, affectionately known
by his family and friends as Frank. He was born on February 25, 1945, in
San Diego, CA, and lived a fulfilling life until his peaceful passing on
May 16, 2025.

Frank Emery was a man of humble beginnings, who built his life with hard
work and devoted service. He was a long-time truck driver for Alta Dena
Dairy, until his retirement in 1998. His passion for service, however,
extended beyond his professional life. Frank was a proud veteran of the
United States Army and became a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars
(VFW) in 1969. He was affiliated with VFW Post 1512 in Spring Valley,
California and served on the VFW POST #9401. His dedication to his
fellow veterans was unwavering, and his leadership was recognized
several times as he served as the Commander of the VFW Post. Frank’s
involvement with Arizona District 8. He dedicated several years to the
district level, serving as the Voice of Democracy/Patriot Pen Chairman.

Furthermore, he was an active member of the post color guard and honor
guard for many years and served as the Service Officer since his arrival
in Lake Havasu in 2004

"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of
others," Mahatma Gandhi once said, and Frank lived this truth every day.

Frank made a home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, with his beloved wife,
Patricia "Dallas" Emery, whom he married on Armed Forces Day in 1994, in
La Mesa, CA on Mt. Helix. He was a proud family man, and his siblings
Jack, Bill, Barbara, Susie will dearly miss him. His daughter Emily, his
grandchildren; Ty, Derek, CJ and Kaysee, and numerous friends will
always remember his warmth and kindness. His parents, Gordon Emery and
Georgina Post, and his daughter, Amy and his sister Joan, preceded him
in death. Frank had a fondness for collecting eagles and beer mugs, a
testament to his sense of fun and his appreciation for the simple
pleasures in life. His favorite spot was his chair at the VFW, known as
"Frank's chair", where he enjoyed the company of his fellow veterans and
friends.

A Celebration of Life for Frank Emery will be held on Saturday, June 28,
2025, at 1:00 pm MST at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 266 London Bridge
Road, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, 86403.
