Published by Today's News Herald on July 13, 2025 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Susan Lamb on June 5, 2025. Susan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was filled with love, kindness, and faith. Born and raised in South Gate, California, Susan attended Catholic school from kindergarten through 8th grade and later graduated from South Gate High School. After graduation, she began her career at Bank of America before marrying the love of her life, Walter Lamb, in 1961. Susan and Walt made their home in La Mirada, California, where they raised their family. Over the years, Susan worked at Farmers Insurance and in various other roles where she was cherished as a hardworking and respected employee. Following Walt’s retirement, the couple relocated to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where they enjoyed their later years together. An adventurous spirit, Susan loved traveling the country with Walt in their RV and going on cruises. Despite battling Alzheimer’s in her later years, she continued to live a life full of joy and cherished moments with her family. Susan is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Walter; her son Terry Lamb and his wife Teresa; her daughter Laurie Provost and her husband Jeffrey; five grandchildren—Brianna Stoecker, Taylor Lamb, Cody Lamb, Kaila Shaw, and Emily Lamb—and two greatgrandchildren, Weston and Wyatt along with her brother Mark Huerth. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Alzheimer’s research at the Cleveland Clinic in Las Vegas in Susan’s memory. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Lietz-Fraze Mortuary. Service for Susan will be held on July 26, 2025 – 11:30 am, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Lake Havasu City, Arizona |
