Wickenburg Funeral Home Wickenburg, Arizona www.wickenburgfuneralhome.com Donald Bachmann August 21, 1950 - June 10, 2025 Don passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Valley in Glendale, Arizona on June 10, 2025. He was born in McMinnville, Oregon and graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. In his younger years he lived on his sailboat, Windspell, which he sailed to the Sea of Cortez in Mexico and on to various areas of the South Pacific before returning to the Seattle area. Don loved the outdoors and had many adventures hunting and fishing in Alaska, Canada, Mexico and the Pacific Northwest. He also enjoyed golfing with his wife, Mary. Fly fishing was a passion and he made it look effortless. In the last few years he took up rock hounding and enjoyed exploring the Arizona desert. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Nolan; daughter, Alison Bachmann; son, Kyle Bachmann (Shenelle and grandchildren Zoren and Oceana) and step-daughter, Kristin Nolan. He is also survived by his brother, Randy Bachmann (Mitsuyo); his sister, Shelly Harp (Mikal); and numerous other family members and friends. He is predeceased by his father, Alvin Bachmann and mother, June Bachmann. At Don's request there will be no service. Our many thanks to Hospice of the Valley for their help and support. We also want to thank the many friends and neighbors in our community of Wickenburg Ranch for their love and kindness. Don, you are loved and will be missed! |
