ALAN EDWARD LANDWEHR
Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, Friend

Alan Edward Landwehr, age 70, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025. Alan
was born as the baby brother of three older sisters- Jan, Carol, and
Patty. After spending his early years in California, Alan eventually
made his way to Montana. He had James and Alexis with his first wife and
later two more boys, Kasey and Kory with the love of his life, Karen
Hillman.

He worked multiple blue-collar jobs. In Colestrip, Montana he was an
equipment oiler. He then worked many years as a heavy equipment
operator, most notably being a master scraper operator. He helped
develop many roads and railroads all over Montana and Wyoming. He also
spent many years as a long-haul truck driver. After spending much of his
life in Montana, he retired with his loving wife, Karen in Mohave
Valley, Arizona.

In his free time, Al (a.k.a. Big Al) could be found doing house projects
or working in his shop. He had a very deep connection with his
motorcycles. He also loved fishing. His fish stories could seem almost
unbelievable until he pulled out pictures to prove it. Big Al also loved
to party. He could often be found with a cold beer in his hand telling
stories to friends and strangers alike.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen; his mother, and
father, Lois and Alvin; and his daughter, Alexis.

Alan is survived by three of his kids, James, Kasey, and Kory Landwehr;
his three sisters, Jan, Carol, and Patty; 17 grandkids, Ashley, Tyren,
Joey, Lucas, Kaitlyn, Faith, Daniel, Holly, James, Lucy, Sierra, Connor,
Maddie, Isaac, Sawyer, Chloe, and Jaida.

He was loved by all his friends and family and remembered
by anyone who crossed his path because Alan was impossible to go
unnoticed. Rest in peace.
