Dolores A. 'Dee' Finney

Born in Two Rivers, Wisconsin on June 1, 1931.
Departed on June 6, 2004 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Dolores A. 'Dee' Finney, 73, a 14 year resident of Cottonwood, passed away June 6th at her home with her family at her side. She was born in the town of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, and county of Manitowoc and was the daughter of the late Joe and Agnes Adam Kanaugh.

Dolores graduated with the class of 1949 from Washington High School. On February 14, 1953 she married Donald Finney at All Souls Church in Alhambra, California and lived in Covina California and later retired to Cottonwood.

Dolores loved to volunteer and did so with 3000 volunteer hours at the Verde Valley Medical Center for 12 years and at the VFW Post 7400 as much as possible.

Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Donald K. Finney, Sr.; son Donald K. Finney, wife Dawn, Norco, Calif.; daughter Terrie Roscoe, husband Russ, Webster, Fla.; daughter Shirley Kridler, Hemet, Calif.; brothers, Gerald and Joe Kanugh; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A daughter Peggy Finney, two sisters, Rosemary and Adeline, brother Raymond, brother-in-laws, Duane, Lawrence and Robert, and sister-in-law, Mary preceded her in death.

The Rosary will be recited Friday, June 11 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 700 N. Bill Gray Road at 7:00 p.m.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, June 12 at the Church at 10:00 a.m. Following the Mass, a reception will be at the VFW Post 7400.

The family asks that instead of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S. Candy Lane, Cottonwood, Ariz., 86326 or to the VFW Post 7400, P O Box 689, Cottonwood, Ariz., 86326 in memory of Dolores A. Finney.
