Published by The Miner on August 13, 2025 - Kingman, Arizona - James “Jim” Wesley Bauer, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Aug. 1, 2025, in Kingman, Arizona, at the age of 89. Born on Aug. 13, 1935, in Ravenden, Arkansas. Jim lived a life full of heart, humor, and unforgettable charm. A proud Kingman resident for the past 46 years, Jim was best known for his gregarious personality. If you met Jim once, you would remember him forever. He had a magnetic spirit that drew people in, and a laughter that left lasting joy wherever he went. Jim was a highly respected stucco contractor whose craftsmanship left a lasting mark across many homes in the Kingman area. His work was more than just a trade; it was a reflection of his dedication and pride in doing things right. An avid lover of the outdoors, Jim’s heart belonged to the water. Fishing and water skiing brought him immeasurable joy, and it was his passion for those adventures that inspired his move to Kingman to be closer to the sparkling waters of Lake Mead. Jim leaves behind his beloved wife of 68 years, Frank-Aline Bauer (Sturgeon), and their three sons: Michael James Bauer (spouse Anne Moutray), Wesley Jerome Bauer (spouse Laura Bauer), and Jay Allen Bauer (spouse Laurie Bauer). He was the proud grandfather of Ryan Cox, Jason Bauer, Richelle Steele, Nolan Bauer, Kevin Bauer, Hannah (Bauer) Norris, Gabrielle Brehmeyer, Nathanial Birdseye, Quinn Arndt, and Ben Arndt. His legacy continues through 16 cherished great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of his spirit forward. |
