Phoenix Oldtimer Passes Jim Johnson, 81, one of Arizona’s early settlers died in a local hospital last Sunday, after being feeble for the last several years. Mr. Johnson’s time of arrival in the state is not definitely known, but those who knew him say it was a long time ago. He at one time, several years ago, operated a raspadas stand in East Lake Park; later losing his eyesight. According to reports, he is survived by one son and a niece in Los Angeles. The body is at Ragsdale Mortuary pending funeral arrangements. Arizona Sun October 12, 1951 |
