Kathryn Jean (Kilbourne) Kane

Kathryn Jean (Kilbourne) Kane, 52, passed away on July 27, 2002.

She was born Feb. 17, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Bertha (Freeman) Kilbourne.

She entered the Order of St. Agnes in Fond du Lac, WI, where she achieved the level of Aspirant. After leaving the order she attended Saint Ben’s College and later moved to Arizona in 1970 where she met and married Joe Kane. They spent 33 years together.

Her friends knew her as Kathryn, Kitty, Kath or KK and she was an accomplished artist, author, editor, publisher and businesswoman. She was known for her willingness to share, organize, lead, help, teach and touch.

In all she did, she touched the lives of others and always left a trail of joy and knowledge behind her.

She was passionate in her support of the Oracle Public Library.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the OPL Building Fund is asked.

A memorial service was held at the Oracle Union Church Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002. Participants were encouraged to share their spoken or written words of her rememberance.
