Ronald Schwartz, 58, of San Manuel, passed away Aug. 5, 2002, in Tucson. He was born Jan. 1, 1944, in Creston, Iowa to Jessie Stewart and Otto Oscar Schwartz. He grew up in Iowa and Nebraska and graduated from high school in 1961. He moved to Arizona and was a copper miner for 36 years. Survivors include his wife, Elva Schwartz, of San Manuel; children, Ron Jr. (Kristine) Schwartz, of Dayton, Ohio, Rex (Anna) Schwartz, of Marana, Russell Schwartz, of Chandler, Maria (Jose) Valenica, of Tucson and Elizabeth (Andrew) Martinez, of Catalina; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Joy (Bill) Scanlan, of Massena, Iowa; many nieces and nephews and other relatives. He will be remembered and missed by all who knew him, but will never be forgotten. San Manuel Miner 8/27/2002. |
