Hortencia (Madueno) Ballesteros

Hortencia Madueno Ballesteros, 84, died at her home in Bisbee on August 30, 2002. She was born in Superior on April 18, 1918, to Pablo and Juanita Padilla Madueno. She had been a resident of Bisbee for most of her life. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Ballesteros was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Ballesteros, in 1976.

Survivors include her six sons and their spouses, Nicky and Gloria Castillo, Frank Ballesteros, Daniel and Lupe Ballesteros, all of Tucson, Julian and Angela Castillo of Naco, Ralph Ballesteros of Bisbee, and Tony Ballesteros of Marana; three daughters and their spouses, Lydia and Manuel Olivares of Tucson, Dorothy and Efrain Teran of Bisbee and Rebecca and Abel Ballesteros of Florence; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Avelina Madueno and Alex and Connie Madueno, all of Superior; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Henrietta Gomez of Superior and Angie and Edward Murrieta of California; 26 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

A memorial Mass was held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Bisbee on Friday, September 6. 2002. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery.
