Death Claims Lee Benham Lee Benham, 68, freelance writer and authority on thoroughbred horses and a Tucsonan since 1912, died Sunday in a Tucson hospital. He was a former resident of Nogales. Mr. Benham was born in Vicksburg, Mich., and was a contributing editor to the Thoroughbred Record. Lexington, Ky. He also contributed to The Turf, another horse magazine. Mr. Benham also wrote a regular column for the Tucson Daily Citizen about horses for about three years in the 1940's. He is survived by his widow. Aileen, and two brothers, Ray of San Antonio, Texas, and Leslie of San Diego, California. Nogales International March 5, 1954 |
