Charles A. Gropp, aged 93 years, died at the county hospital where he had been an inmate for many years, Sunday December 12, 1915 from general debility. He was a native of Prussia. Mr. Gropp was an Arizona pioneer and was well known in the Gila valley. He was an old resident of Ft. Thomas before the advent of the railroad. He served in the United States Army from 1873 to 1878 when he was honorably discharged. The funeral was held Monday December 18th and interment was made in Union cemetery.
