| FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR VETERAN Funeral services for Jason Irvine Noyes, 39, of 202 East Sixth street, who dropped dead of heart failure last Thursday in front of his home, were held Saturday at Carr’s Mortuary under the auspices of Wm, Bloys Post No. 2, American Legion, of Tempe and the Painters’ and Decorators’ Union of Phoenix. Three pallbearers from each organization carried the casket. Raymond Still, postmaster here, brought a bugler from Mesa to blow “taps” over the grave, which is at Twin Butte cemetery. The Rev. Carl Wild preached the funeral services. Mr. Noyes was a veteran of the world war and had applied for Government compensation. Dr. W. E. Patterson, local health officer, said Noyes died of heart failure. Mrs. C. A. Martin sang at the funeral services. She was accompanied on the piano by Miss Evelyn Redden.
