| Published by Today's News Herald on Nov. 3, 2025 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - James Harrison Dorsett, born May 18, 1950, passed on November 19, 2025, at his home of 23 years in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born in San Diego, attended Herbert Hoover High, and worked at General Dynamics and Computer Sciences Corporation in Kearny Mesa area of San Diego, CA, where he met his wife, Brenda Dorsett, and retired to Lake Havasu City in 2003. Jim and Brenda shared marriage for 42 years. He enjoyed camping, ATVing, RVing, classic cars, concerts, and shared time with friends at music venues. James was proceeded in death by his parents, Harrison Irold and Betty Dove Dorsett of San Diego. He is survived by wife, Brenda Dorsett, and James's sons Christopher Dorsett of Denham Springs, LA, and Matthew Dorsett of Temecula, CA. James has 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. As James requested, there will not be a funeral or Celebration of Life. James's body was donated to Science Care HOPE Program for scientific research in hopes research will benefit others of cardiac disease and Parkinson's Disease in the future. A tree sapling will be planted yearly in a National Forest by Science Care to honor his donation. His final resting spot will be at Redwood Falls Cemetery in MN, along with his wife upon her death. Please celebrate his life in your own ways with positive thoughts and fond memories of James. Rest in peace husband. |
