| Published by Mohave Daily News Online from Dec. 3 to Dec. 4, 2025 - Bullhead City, Arizona - Jerry Charles Ruehle died at his Bullhead City home on October 2, 2025 with his surviving children by his side. Jerry was born to Oliver and Rose Ruehle on February 20, 1930 in Staunton, IL. He spent most his youth in Woodlawn, New York on the shores of Lake Erie. Jerry's family moved to the San Fernando Valley, CA after his graduation from high school. ?ere he met the love of his life Ruby Leona Erwin. They were married and had three children, Dorothy Louise, Jerry Oliver, and Virginia Rose. Jerry worked for approximately 30 years for General Motors in Van Nuys, CA where he started on the assembly line and ended his career as a journey man electrician. He was a proud member of the UAW. Jerry and Ruby retired to Bullhead City, AZ in 1982 where he helped build the house he lived in for over 40 years. He loved Bullhead City and took full advantage of the many outdoor pursuits available in the surrounding areas. Jerry spent his early retirement years as a well known fishing guide on the Colorado River. He delighted in teaching anglers of various skills how to fish. He also was a professional bass fisherman that participated in and won many local and regional tournaments. He was fishing and launching his bass boat by himself a couple times a week well into his nineties. In 2011, Ruby, his wife of 60 years passed away. He lived independently after her passing pursuing new passions like cooking and working out at Western Regional Medical Center. While Jerry's love of fishing was his passion, his love for his family was paramount. He was a son, a brother, a husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather and friend to many. His faith was also very important to him and he was a long time member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife Ruby, sister Lorraine Cope, his daughter Dorothy Clague, and many good friends and ?shing buddies. He is survived by his brother Oliver "Smokey", his son Jerry Ruehle and wife Nicky ?ude, his daughter Virginia and Ted Losee, son- in-law Danny Clague, his 5 grandchildren Keri, Max, Tosha, Cody, and Diamond, and many great grandchildren, his brother-in-law Lee Erwin and wife Dorothy, his Aunt Ruth Raduzinger and husband Robert, many nieces and nephews and a myriad of friends. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 10 am at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. 1664 Central Ave, Bullhead City 86442. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Angel Hospice Foundation. |
