| Cora Elizabeth Roumaine, 80, of Mesa, AZ went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 15, 2004. She was born June 11, 1923 in Nome, North Dakota to her parents Henry and Annie Carlson. She was the fifth child in a family of six. All of her siblings have preceded her in death except one brother, Levi Carlson, of Nome, North Dakota. She leaves her husband of 51 years, Cal, and two sons, Dwight Roumaine of Mesa, Arizona and Douglas (Heidi) Roumaine of Gray, Maine. She accepted Jesus as her Savior and Lord at the age of 11 and lived a life of obedience and fellowship with God throughout her years. The Roumaine's lived in Chicago, Illinois until 1991 when Cal and Cora retired to Mesa, Arizona. First Baptist Church of Mesa has been their Church home since 1993. Visitation was Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at Mariposa Gardens Funeral Care 400 S. Power Rd. in Mesa, AZ. Private Burial Thursday at Valley of the Sun Cemetery in Chandler, AZ. A Memorial Service was held on Friday Feb. 20, 2004 at First Baptist Church of Mesa, 4801 E. Brown Rd. Arrangements entrusted to Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park & Funeral Care in Mesa. 480-830-4422.
