| Don Alford Safley Born in Tipton, Iowa on March 29, 1920. Departed on Feb. 20, 2004 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Don Alford Safley, 93, of Cottonwood died February 20. He was born March 29, 1920 in Tipton, Iowa. He attended Tipton schools and graduated from Iowa State University. Mr. Safely was a farmer. He enjoyed pool and golf, collected antiques and was a private pilot. He attended Immaculate Conception Church. He leaves his wife of 54 years, Jean Safley; a sister Hazel Hughes, son. A son, Don David Safley and a grandson Gentry preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 27 in the Westcott Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Father Bud Pelletier will officate. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2724 E. Lakin, Suite 9, Flagstaff, Arizona, 86001. Westcott Funeral Home, Cottonwood and Camp Verde, Arizona. |
