KEARNY - Donald Bishop, 72, of Kearny died Nov. 3, 2006 in Snowflake. A private memorial service was planned. Mr. Bishop, a bulldozer operator for Kennecott Copper Corp. for many years, was born Nov. 17, 1933 in Coleman, Texas. His family moved to Coolidge when he was young. He attended school there and enlisted in the Army. He served in the Korean War and became disabled while fulfilling that service. Upon returning from Korea, he began working for Kennecott and retired in 1976. He was well known for breeding and training mules. He is survived by a son, Don L. Bishop of Kearny; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be directed to Disabled American Veterans.
