DeLUCA, Charles Peter "Chuck"
Charles Peter "Chuck" DeLuca, 67, of Phoenix, entered into rest on May 4, 2004 and is now in the arms of Jesus. He was born in Chicago, IL on September 16, 1936.

He was married to one woman for 46 1/2 years. He was father to four children and rarely ever missed one of their baseball, football, basketball, soccer, and volleyball or softball games. He loved watching his kids play sports, and was lucky enough to see his grandchildren play baseball too. He did what he had to do to provide for his family. His career was not his passion... his passion was his faith and his family. He was proud to a Dominican Laity and equally as proud to have earned his Associates Degree at age 62. His last job was as a social worker, caring for a needy family. Compassionate and Faithful, his smile will be missed.

He is survived by his wife Rosemarie; his sons Fred Anthony (Cindy), Chuck Dominick and Peter Christopher; and his only daughter Christina Lena; his grandchildren Dante Antonio, Cesare "Chaz" Pasquale, Elena Marie, Gianna Gabriella and Maria Isabella; His mother Grace, brothers Salvatore (Carol) and Clement (Pam). Fifteen nieces and nephews and their children knew him as "Uncle Chuck".

He made friends easily and kept them for years. A Remembrance of his life was held Sunday, May 9, 2004, at Lakeshore Mortuary 1815 S Dobson Rd Mesa, AZ 85202. A funeral mass and reception followed May 10 at St. Timothy's Catholic Community, 1730 West Guadalupe Road Mesa, Arizona 85202. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer to have donations sent to Paz de Cristo, Life Teen International or The Leukemia Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to Lakeshore Mortuary, Mesa. Published in the Arizona Republic on 5/9/2004.
