Lillie C. Lopez

Lillie C. Lopez went home on June 12, 2009, after a long haul with Alzheimer's. Her family was by her side at the time.

Lillie was born June 10, 1914. She was formerly from Cimarron and Albuquerque, N.M. She worked at Vermejo Park, N.M., and retired from the University of New Mexico. Lillie lived with her daughter in Kingman the last 10 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Louise (Larry) Mesaric; granddaughters, Laura (Larry) Alanis and Tracy Mesaric; great-granddaughters, Vanessa and Nyki (Kyle Gillory); great-great granddaughter, Makayla; and great-granddog, Sugar.

She has one surviving sister, Rose Martinez of Springer, N.M. She is also survived by nieces, Dorilee, Mary, Patricia and Barbara; and nephew, Leo of New Mexico; her other nieces and nephew of Colorado are: Joe, Evelyn, Carla, Kathy and Chris; as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Lillie was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Jon J. Mesaric Alanis; her parents, Frank and Juanita Lopez; her brothers, Ruben, Lupe, Bill and Frank; her sisters, Eva and Dora; and one niece, Lupe.

Mom, go in peace and God be with you. We love you and will miss you.
