Kenneth Crocket Bailey

Kenneth Crocket Bailey of Prescott, Ariz., went to meet his Lord on June 29, 2009, at the age of 85. He was born Jan. 1, 1924, in White Hall, Md., to parents Wythe H. and Flora J. Bailey, the youngest of 10 children.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Polly; his children, Wayne and his wife Carole and his daughter Kathy Ladwig. He is survived by his grandchildren, Christopher Bailey, Matthew Bailey and his wife Christina, Jill Bailey and Alex Ladwig. Also surviving is his great-granddaughter Olivia Bailey, his sister Catherine Pruitt, sisters-in-law Elsie Bailey and Jeanette Bailey, and many nieces and nephews.

Kenneth served in the Marine Air Corps during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He devoted his life to Christian service. He retired from the postal service in 1980.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2009, with visitation one hour prior at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th St., Phoenix.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6290 W. Northern Ave., Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Christian Youth Camp, 1400 Paradise Valley Road, Prescott, AZ 86303.

Arrangements by Hansen Mortuary. A memorial service will be at a later date in Prescott.
