Lily Bangert, 94, of Chino Valley, Ariz., born Sept. 4, 1914, in Guide Rock, Neb., passed away June 19, 2009, in Prescott Valley, Ariz.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at the Hope Lutheran Church, 1010 Road 1 East, Chino Valley, Ariz.

Services were entrusted to Sunrise Funeral Home.

Lilly Bangert was gently taken by the angels to her heavenly home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ June 19, 2009.

Lilly was born in Nebraska September 4, 1914. In 1935 she married Herb Bangert. They moved to Arizona in 1945. Herb and Lilly were active members of the Lutheran Church wherever they lived. She and Herb were married 60 years.

She was a kind, loving and gentle person.

She is survived by their adopted daughter Sandy James, husband Pete, grandsons Phil, Josh, Matt (Laura), granddaughters, Laura Powell (Travis), Anna Ahrendt (Bill): great grandchildren, JoHanna, Tristan, Emmett, Lincoln and Chyler, a brother Rein (Julie) Schutte, a sister Gerda Wallis, sister-in-law Colleen Schutte and many nieces and nephews.

Lilly's memorial service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, 1010 Rd 1 East on Aug. 15, 2009 at 11 am. Memorials may be sent to Hope Lutheran Church for Christian Life Resources (Lutherans for Life). Services entrusted to Sunrise Funeral Home.
