Evelyn Laverne Adams, 76, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., born April 28, 1933 in Hobart, Okla., passed away June 17, 2009 at New Horizons.

A Celebration of Life will be from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the American Legion Pos #79 in Humboldt with a potluck and music jam.

In lieu of flowers, please contact the family.

Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.

Obituary for Evelyn Lavern AdamsEvelyn Lavern Adams passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at New Horizons Care home in Prescott, Arizona. She was born April 28, 1933 in Hobart, Oklahoma; the daughter of Homer Lee & Dorothy Mae (Willis) Miller. Evelyn was 76 years old.

Evelyn married her sweetheart Theron (Toby) Adams in 1978 and together they created many memories as a family. She worked as a Housekeeper before retiring to a full time house wife, mother, and grandmother. Evelyn was a resident of Yavapai County since 1995 and previously resided in California. Evelyn loved to crochet, collect dolls, and country music. She was a long time member of the Greater Arizona Country Music Association, American Legion Post #79 and the Sonora, California Moose Lodge. Evelyn was most proud of her granddaughter Lawren and her doll collection. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Evelyn is survived by her loving husband of 31 years Theron (Toby) Doyle Adams; daughters - Tamala King, Sherry Lynn King, and is reunited with her daughter Vicki Lynn King who precedes her in death; Son - David King; sisters - Joyce Watts, Eleanor Brandt, and Tommy Sue Nunez; grandchildren - Kimberly, Shane, Sheyann, Amanda, Angela, Brandon, Jeremy, Alex, Annie, Joyce, Mary Beth, Lawren, Ben, Adam, Dondi, Alex, Tobi, Kristofer, Gallagher, Danielle, and Brandy; great-grandchildren - Luke, Bailee, Morgan, Nicole, Logan, Sarah, Brandon, Gabrielle, Candon, Stephanie, Alexis, Morgan, and Brian.
